If you add on exercise you can extend this to nearly 1250 calories a day only exercising an hour a day! If you did this for one week you could knock off nearly two pounds weekly. Plus the exercise will build muscle mass, increasing your body's base metabolic rate.
Knowing how you are doing and what you are doing will help keep you on the right path. Force yourself to write everything down. This will keep you honest, and help you adjust the program on the fly.
